Don't know what are the shortcut keys for Google Reader? I just found out today that you just need to hit the "?" key at the Google Reader page, and the list of keyboard shortcuts is displayed on top of the page! Very nice touch. Now there is no reason not to use these shortcuts. They are very useful when you are browsing your feeds on a tiny laptop without a mouse.
